Trailwrench Privacy Policy

Maintenance tracking for mountain bikers who wrench their own bikes.

The short version: Trailwrench doesn't collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything you enter — your bikes, rides, and maintenance history — stays stored locally on your device. There's no account, no server, and no analytics.

What data Trailwrench stores

Trailwrench stores the information you enter directly into the app on your device only:

Bike details (name, type, frame size, model year, tire setup)
Ride logs (date, terrain, distance, duration)
Maintenance history (task, date, mileage, notes)

This data is saved locally using standard on-device storage. It is never uploaded to a server, because Trailwrench doesn't have one. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

What Trailwrench does not do

No account creation or sign-in of any kind
No data is transmitted off your device
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs
No sharing of data with third parties, because none is collected

Notifications

If you enable maintenance reminders, Trailwrench schedules local notifications directly on your device using iOS's built-in notification system. This does not involve sending any data anywhere.

Third-party links

The Task Guide screen links out to YouTube videos for maintenance tutorials. Tapping one opens YouTube in your browser or the YouTube app, which is governed by YouTube's own privacy policy, not this one. Trailwrench does not share any of your data with YouTube when you do this.

Children's privacy

Trailwrench does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that involves data leaving your device), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change.
